Mitsuko Horie is more than just Galaxia's Voice; she is a vocal theme pioneer, singing anime opening songs, kid-oriented melodies and voicing cutesy anime protagonists since she was 13 years old. Galaxia was the first time she ever voiced a bad guy and she had a blast doing it. She still got it and her voice hasn't aged much which is beyond amazing.
Well I'm glad that we are getting variety with this opening song. Personally I like this version more because it felt more powerful and exciting. However I also understand why people like the first one as it was more cute and almost dream-like.
I remember being a little confused when I heard the different vocals, and I was like "Could't you have done that in the very beginning?!" XD Yeah as you might have realised I like this one better. Idk why but even if the note at the end is the same, I felt like the first vocal went out of tune for a sec there.
The first one is like a baby, the second is more mature, and the third shows the teamwork by having multiple singers, after she joins up with Uranus, Neptune and Pluto for real.
First one is Usagi, 2nd one is "Usagi older" (Really the singer is actually the Jp voice of Sailor Galaxia.) 3rd is suppose to represent the Sailor Scouts.
Josefo Joestrella II Horie doesn't sound forced at all. Actually, as much as I love Horie, it sounds like she's underplaying the song. Also, no need for the language.
I really like this version!! It works much better as an opening compared to the first version. Although I do love the first one as a stand alone song it was a little too slow paced and calm to get you hyped for the episode. This one does a perfect job of bringing excitement!!
this opening is so much more enjoyable now that a person putting effort into her vocals is singing it. Plus, the rearrangement of the music is way better...I couldn't remotely get into the 1st version and would normally fast forward it (which I RARELY do ESPECIALLY for Sailor Moon openings) but now I feel like I can appreciate this as an opening. Only gripe now is the out of place in-animation attacks that are prior to the title screen....
+Jed Palisoc yeah! I thought I was the only one. I'm never a fan of stock animation being used in an opening or ending sequence. They should have at least used all of their new attacks, not a mix of them. Only Mercury is shown using her new attack. It's really out of place.
Honestly I just love this version of the song so much more! Hopefully Momoiro Clover Z do it justice next! The season as well as the musical arrangements have been amazing!
i'm kinda scared for their version. I enjoy Moon Pride a LOT but I also cringed during their remakes of the iconic Sailor Moon songs Moonlight Densetsu and Moon Revenge (I think the did one more) and I could NEVER get myself to sit through the ending of Crystal's 1st 26 episodes. They're a cure group, sure...but there are SIGNFICANTLY BETTER sources of talent in the J-pop world...someone like Namie Amuro or BoA should do the opening....ooohhh BoA!!!

Haven't heard a lot of songs from these idol groups myself but I remember enjoying that one ED song AKB48 did for DBZ Kai more than everything I've heard from Momoclo so far.
+NJ973201 and to be honest, it's only due to the arrangment of Moon Pride that I like the song....vocally, it's terrible...it sounds almost as if they're pinching their noses and trying to whine as they sing...the high notes they sing tend to fall flat and when they harmonize, they are out of tune. It's not that I'm trying to hate on the group, but there are just a vast number of truly talented entertainers that could've done the themes or covers.
Mitsuko Horie is a legend. She was the voice actress for Sailor Galaxia, and Polaris Hilda from my other favorite anime "Saint Seiya (Knights of the Zodiac)" and many other great anime like Dragon Ball "Upa" I LOVE this version as much as the first one. I love this season!!!

What gets me is Mitsuko Horie's vibrato. Every time I hear her sing she's overusing it and I can't stand it. She does it less here though, and it sounds so much better.

I don't know if it's the nostalgia or the way Mitsuko Horie (take my Star Seed, Galaxia, just keep singing :D ) sings, but I prefer this version over Etsuko Yakushimaru's. More mature and more determined.
if you search on youtube "Mitsuko Horie Live On MTV 2014" Mitsuko Horie-san is singing "Makenai", when i watched the video of her singing and remembered how she is now singing New Moon ni aishite i began to literally cry, the feels were to much for me, the fact that she was part of it back then and is still in it today makes me get into my feels a lot just like how Usagi's voice actor remains as Kotono Mitsuishi
+Justin Watson Horie Mitsuko is the QUEEN. Her version is great! It has emotion in exactly the right places. Just because it doesn't fit your tastes doesn't make it "bad" or "worse."
I could not decide between this and another lively version of the song. It was too hard to memorize all details so I had to open video editing tool and make these songs switch every 4 seconds :D What are my findings: - vocal seems more mature and rich musically, - the main melody line is played here by violin, which I am a sucker for :) the other version has keyboard which I also have a weakness towards, - the other version has trumpet supporting keyboard. A really nice touch, - vocals are louder in this version, - I don't know if it is a matter of quality but this version seems more crispy especially after 1:08, the other one mixes double vocals with stronger bass and some instruments are lost in it. The differences are very subtle and took me a couple of listenings while writing this comment in order to find differences. While my winner is this version, the best fun was when I played both songs at the same time :D
